Big Fish is a great movie, but don't forget about this one! Anyone see the Blu-ray yet? I wonder how the video/audio transfer is.

I was curious as well...

A very good movie that I never got around to getting on DVD... have been pretty tempted to grab the BR version.

I just picked it up today from Fry's for $19.99

I also picked up Rocky Balboa, Chicken Little, and Bullit. That was a fast $100+ out of my wallet :)

I picked it up along with Rocky and scanned through both discs (waiting for the wife to dry her hair). What few scenes I saw looked pretty good. I will stress I only watched probably a couple minutes worth. I thought Rocky looked great as well.

Wondering how it compares to the HD DVD version. They're both AVC.

I've never seen the film bot always put it off due to what I heard was a poor DVD transfer. Finally goign to see it whern my Blu-Ray arrives from Amazon (if they'd ship it already).

I went through the showcase footage on Finding Neverland and it looks pretty good. Going to watch it later.

Looks like the review is up at HDD.

I'm keeping my HD DVD version.

It looks fantastic. I dunno where HDD gets off giving this 3 stars for video. Thats just WAY off! It's easily a 4. The outdoor sequences of which they're are plenty of, really have alot of pop, beautiful colors, and details. The grimy indoor scenes don't fare as well in depth but maybe thats the directors intent. I'm not sure. Overall though this disc is pretty satisfying.

HDD's reviews don't hold any water for me..... Scary Movie 4 3/5 for video?

The Japanese Toshiba HD DVD version is encoded with AVC. I thought the movie looked great. Rich colors, and plenty of detail.

What codec was used on the blu-ray release here in the US?

If anyone has a good idea as to how I could post a few images from the HD DVD then I can place them here for comparison. Someone from the Blu-Ray side would need to create similiar images.

I really expect that this movie sould look on Blu-Ray.

I saw this at my local Walmart for $19.99 as well, but I previously read HD Digest's review and that 3/5 video rating caused me to pass. I want to read some more reviews first. I haven't seen this one before, is it good? Worth watching more than once?

I absolutely loved Finding Neverland. It was one of my favorite movies that year.

Watched it last night and I completely agree with the above post. Very satisfying PQ, not to mention a great movie. Not the best BD I've seen (Chicken Little wins that title so far), but certainly not bad at all. I agree that some of the indoor scenes are meant to appear a bit softer, but outdoor is very nice.
