Currently I am using a B2.2 as the center for my F2.2 fronts, and B2.2 rears.
Even cranked to +10, the voices in movies are not loud/clear enough for me to comfortably hear through the B2.2.
The center channel C1.2 would be the obvious choice, but is it powerful enough to compliment F2.2 fronts?
Why isn't there a C2.2?
Is there any other brand that would match well? Or other options?

I have an all Athena set up as well. Currently using F2.2's , C1.2 , R1.2 (4). I also have a pair of B2.2's that I had planned on using as a center channel . While I do prefer the C1.2 over a singe B2.2 I am still not entirely happy with this center . Ideally I'd like to find a single F2.2 or split a pair to configure as a new "matching" center. Parts are available for this project but a completed F2.2 is cheaper than the sum of it's parts. All that being said is your set up properly calibrated ? I found some improvement once I took the time to balance everything. If you can get a C1.2 it's worth trying. You could always move the 'extra' B2.2 to the side for 7.1 . Chris

I have balanced everything using a radio shack sound meter, it helped but still not to my liking. The B2.2 just seems too weak.
I have 4 x B2.2s and 2 x B1.2 and 2 x F1.2 that are all spare, if I could build something that would be awesome. How would I go about doing that? (the reason I have so many speakers is Future Shop here in Canada stopped carrying the bookshelves so they had a fire sale, and the F series I got for cheap after x-mas.
I would use the F1.2 as center but height is my restriction.
I don't want to spend the $$$ to bring in a C1.2 from the US just to find out it isn't enough either.
I wouldn't mind ripping apart a pair of B2.2s to build a decent center if this is possible? I only paid $49 Canadian for each pair B2.2s and B1.2s so not biggie if I screw it up!
