Was wondering if anyone has any input on the speakers, going to audition them Thursday, and always interested in your thoughts?
Dealer wasn't specific on which models he will have out for me.
Thanks

PSB makes good speakers, similar to Paradigm.

I don't know your price range, and I'm not sure if you want "plasma" style or in-wall speakers - but assuming you don't you have to hear the PSB Image series. I tell all my customers the same thing, if you are buying speakers for home theater only, do not bother spending the extra money on tower speakers.
The best bang for the buck subwoofer in PSB's line is the 6i, so hopefully you'll get to listen to that as well.
Good luck!

I am looking for Tower speakers, and have a budget of 7.5K for the front three.

Well, that is a fun budget to work with. You could go with their upper tier Platinum T6. Have you got something in mind with the PSB's? Were they recommended?

For $7k you can do better than PSB. If your budget was half that I would recommend PSB, but for that much I would look at Focal or Revel or another one I've been trying to look at recently - Canton.

I listened to some Canton's last night, I'd calssify them as dull and kind of life less. The ones that the saleman pointed out as being their most musical sounded like they were missing their mid driver. I hate buying speakers. I was much more impressed by the KEF's he had me listen too, and even those were not great.
Definately give the Platinum T6's and C4 or C2 center channel a listen. They are excellent sounding nuetral speakers.

I have to agree 7k is a great budget for front three. So many choices..... I've auditioned about 25 prs. I listened to the PSB T8's. They did a lot of things very well, especially larger soundstage (3x 8" woofers), just most barely forward at the upper register. However, I found the bass to be boomy and/or almost undefined with some passages. I think it probably was port overhang. Otherwise, quite spacious and detailed. Not the sexiest looking speakers at this price point. You should be able to get these at MUCH less than msrp. Maybe half. gl
