Using a PS3 what are you using for sound and speakers. Figure a HTIB with wireless would do it but worried about how loud it would be.

Any suggestions?

I just use an Onkyo receiver with 2 JBL ARENA speakers and that works nicely.

I have a 1000w RCA 5.1 HTiB with little speakers that work amazing well outdoors.

great ideas. I think I found one that will work well. The Logitech Z-5500 or 5540

The 5500 is a 500 watt system with a killer sub. I can easily set the speakers wire using 12 gage and run up to 25 feet. Should be interesting :) Gemmy will be here next week so maybe the following weekend will be my first ever movie night !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! Wish we had the weather that Orlando has right now...

Although it is warming up a bit, but we are getting torrential downpours today, and it still seems pretty cold out there, although the weather says we are supposed to be climbing into the 60s!

Suzook -

You will find that outdoors, the speakers will sound amazing. It has to do with the fact that inside, something like 90% of what you actually hear is reflectd off the walls. Outside, 90% of what you hear is the actual speaker. Even my little, tiny HTiB speakers sound great outside.

Good luck,
Tom

When you do a really large outdoor screen it is pretty difficult to do full surround sound...
