I'm just wondering about the pros & cons as I'm trying to determine if I should switch from cable to dish. I apologize if this info is elsewhere in the forum.

I switched to DISH a few years ago. There are several advantages IMHO: Much more HD programming, a superior DVR, the ability to tune OTA with your box to get all your local PBS programming, etc, etc.

The main disadvantage to me was the cost/hassle in setting up multiple HD sets. With cable you just add another box; with Dish there are switches and a complicated install.

In the end I think DISH wins hands down, although I am sure others would not feel the same way.
