Pleasantly surprised to see a new coming to Blu-ray trailer after popping in my copy of Finding Neverland. The new trailer features Sin City, King Arthur, Chicago, The Guardian, and Pirates 2: Dead Mans Chest. Sin City looks fantastic. The added contrast and resolution of hi-def really makes the images pop off the screen. Those who were worried it wouldn't make a huge visual jump going from SD to hi-def can stop worrying. It is razor sharp and looks more alive than the muted SD version.
King Arthur is looking pretty good in its own right and as we all expected Pirates 2 looks amazing as well. I for one am glad to see new footage of up and coming titles on the Buena Vista discs. That original trailer was outdated about 2 months ago.
Anyone else see this yet?

Looks pretty good, would be more impressive if they showed it in HD but the load time might be a little long! But still looks good but probably better on a nice big HD TV

i watched an HD transfer of Sin City on the movie network, and it was razor sharp. this should make a sweet release for fans of the movie.

Sin City is one of the best looking SD DVDs around, they would have to include everything that the 2 disc Special Edition had to get me to rebuy.
Knowing Blu-Ray history, they will just release the movie only.
No thanks.

I saw Sin City in 1080p about a year and half ago at Cedia running on a prototype 3 Chip 1080p TI DLP projector at TI's booth. The screen was probably around 180 inch or 200 and it looked absolutely breathtaking. In fact it had the greatest depth I'd ever seen outside of an IMAX transfer.

I'm glad that preview is on the disc and not just on the internet. With more exposure of the preview on Buena Vista's behalf, I feel a release date coming very soon for 'Sin City.'

are they showing "chronicles of narnia?" I have yet to see video evidence of this title unlike 'Sin City.'

I have not seen any footage of trailers for Narnia on any of their BD discs that I can recall. It's all for movies that have been announced formally or got quick release dates soon thereafter. This trailer should start being on all their new upcoming April discs as well. I'm all over G.I. Jane and King Arthur.

Sin City and DLP just do not go together. This movie is what you use to demonstrate Rainbow effect on DLPs.

He's right though. The extremely high contrast black and white scenes in Sin City are a DLP torture test. It is the only DVD that I have seen rainbows on in the last year.

I saw that. I agree until I saw it on the SIM HT 5000 three chip on an 11' wide screen in HD. It literally defied description for me it was so incredible !

Three chip has no rainbows, fortunately, since I'm sensitive to them.

There is no rainbow effect with three chip DLPs. No filter wheel etc. Get the facts straight.

i have. it's on some of the samsung blu ray demo loop discs. it's the huge battle sequence with the giant eagles dropping the rocks and whatnot. absolutely amazing...

also,

who's that about to be poked by wolverine's claw there in the middle?

still, i didn't mean to be harsh on disney. they are easily my favorite bd company. once you've seen the narnia demo though, it's REALLY hard to wait patiently for it to release...

you would be wrong in that assumption. disney is in it to win it. can you honestly say that about them after looking at the feature packed single and double discs either released or announced?
