I'm doing some in-ceiling wiring in my theater room to get speaker cabling from my equipment closet up to the front of the room, then down into the walls to outlet level. I'm pulling speaker-level cabling (12ga) to feed the fronts, with enough pairs to biamp the three fronts, plus a pair for my SVS sub (whose external amp is in my rack).
However, I'd like to future-proof this wiring job by adding some balanced cabling in case I later want to add one or two powered subs in place of the SVS. (Something like an Aerial SW-12, for example).
Does anybody have a recommendation for a high-quality balanced cable available in bulk? And, for that matter, an attractive XLR wall plate that doesn't look too industrial?
