All,
I am looking for an elegant solution for connecting my MacBook to a HDMI port. I current have a MacBook that uses Apples mini DVI out connector to a DVI cable and a 1/8" male toslink cable. All works well for the projector but the plasma in the bedroom is currently wired for HDMI only. It'd be nice to have the option of starting the movie downstairs and continuing in the b/r if so desired. Any ideas?

Thanks Dave

There is a DVI to HDMI converter cable on the market. Any AV store should carry it.

That's not the problem.... it's the audio. I'd like to convert DVI + Toslink to HDMI.

Thanks Dave

Your plasma does not have any audio ports?

The HDMI is already run inside the wall...... I prefer not to open wall again. D

I *think* I've seen some "DVI plus audio to HDMI" cables/adapters, but I'm not sure where, nor how much they cost, nor whether they're TOSlink or "just" stereo audio...
