Is this a good price or should I wait?
I talked my local electronics store that was already having a sell on the 62MX196 down to 1799.00 + tax (they had them marked for 1989 + tax) for a NEW (not a refurb) Toshiba 62MX196. The only thing is I would probably buy the 3 year warranty that would jump it up another 300 bucks on top of the actual cost. Would you guys jump on this deal if looking for a tv or pass?

wait because the price of the TV I'm looking at will go down, or wait so I can buy the newer version which will probably be more than my price range?

for a newer version and they aren't that much more than the current ones. Here is the link for the current version the 65hm167 http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/televisions/product.asp?model=65hm167
you'll find it for cheaper on the internet if you do a search on it.

I notice that it's an HM, not an MX???
From what I've been reading the MX's have more features than the HM's ?
IS the new 65 HM a true 1080 P or is it like the older MX that I'm looking at?
That is a great price for the 62MX196. It does not have 1080p inputs, but otherwise is a true 1080p. The new Toshibas will have 1080p HDMI inputs. The 62MX196 has more color controls than the new HM models and has an additional RF connection (2 total), cable card, TV Guide, and picture-on-picture, none of which are on the new HM models. The new models have 3 HDMI, 1080p inputs, and 14-bit processing vs 12 for the 62MX196.

Just couple of days ago, i jump on this deal @BB, like a hungry lion will go for zebra! What so funney about it was, I walk to THE BRICK to see if I could get a better deal and out the same TV listed for $3000. I brought the attention of the sales rep. to BB price and he advised me to run back to BB beofre they change their the mind. He couldn't believe BB are actually selling wayyyyyyyy below cost!
I will take taperwork 3 years warrenty on this baby!
