I have a TH-42PWD7UY that I just moved to a new location that just has an s-video source.

Every time I turn on the unit, it goes to the component input (input 3) and I have to hit the input button several times to cycle through to the s-video input (input 2).

Is there a way to set the power-up default input to be the s-video input (input 2)?
If not, do I have to remove the component card to get the plasma to power-up on input 2?

Thanks.

John

You must access the Options Menu.

Using The Remote Control:
Press Setup button
Select "OSD Language"
Press and hold the "Surround" button until the Options Menu is displayed.
Go to the second page.

On "INITIAL INPUT" set it to input 2.

For more info about the Options Menu , download the Manual for the 8UK Models (page # 39) :

NOTE: Information about the Options Menu (We used to call it "Hidden Menu") was available only in the Service Manuals. Panasonic (finally) decided to add that info as well in the regular User Manuals (8UK and newer Models).

Thanks, bruZZi! Worked perfect. I just got a 9UK, but (obviously) haven't had a chance to read the manual, yet. Glad Panny put the "service menu" in the manual!

I remember there being another even more powerful hidden menu somewhere else, too.
