Hello all,
Believe it or not I'm using an old polk subwoofer PSW-50 that I am about to upgrade. When I get my next sub I will probably keep both hooked up. Has anyone tried to use the wireless A/V sender and receiver that X10 sells to hook up their sub without running wires? If so how does it work?
Any suggestions...appreciated.

There are several options. I'm not sure about what "X10" (what is "X10"?) sells.
Here are a couple.

With the Audioengine setup you will need an additional USB AC power adapter which they sell individually.

I would be concerned about missing out on all of the sound possible if I went wireless with it. That is why I will not consider it at this time, even if I have to look at a wire running across the floor (but partly hidden beneath a sofa/end table).
