My room is just shy of 3000 cubic feet. I don't ever approach reference levels. At most, I push the volume to 18-20dB below reference. I used to go higher for demoing, but I am kinda over that now, and try to listen to movies and music at reasonable levels.
I have an SMS-1 for eq'ing. Any thoughts on 2 of the SVSs vs 1 of the Paradigm?
Thanks
Greg

although I am not familiar with the paradigm, but I can tell you with that size of a room, and you listening to moderate levels only, two of almost any SVS sub would be overkill. THey make excellent subwoofers, and I think two may be a waste of money.

Twin SB12+ should be sweet on that 3000ft^3 room. You can either stack or separate them from left and right corner and use sms eq to nail the coffin for the flattest response curve. :D :D

I have a 2900 cu ft. room, and 2 is my dream. I would run them in a stereo config in-line with your mains if they are adequate.

If I were to do it that way, though, I don't think I would be able to utilize my SMS-1.

There is no reason to do that unless you have a 2ch only setup. The LFE out to his SMS-1 will work perfect.
The SBs will most likely be a little "cleaner" and the Siesmic will most likely extend a tad deeper. Output should be similar. The twin SBs may allow you to acheive a flatter in room response.

Stereo Bass has it's place in a multichannel setup as well.

The sealed SB12 will extend deeper, the Seismic 12 will have more output overall.Quality wise I would say both are on the same overall level.IMO
