I am running a fairly high end system: KDSR70XBR2, MARANTZ SR8200, PS3, XBOX 360, TIVO SERIES 3, and Monitor Audio speakers.
I currently am using HDMI cables for the PS3 and the TIVO. I am using the FREE cables that I got with the Tivo.
Should I invest in higher quality HDMI cables or am I splitting hairs?
As it stands now the picture and audio is fantastic. I do think the audio could be a bit better but its probably my settings, not the cable.

Digital is digital. You are either getting the 1's and 0's or you are not. Save your money and keep the cables that you have.

Thanks, I figured that was the case. I know cables are usually a HUGE SCAM. Its just that all my components are pretty high quality and I have those cheap looking cables. Monster is even better at suckering people than Bose is!

If you want to get some more durable, heavier duty HDMI cables shop at MonoPrice.com
Excellent cables of all types at really great prices.
I got some HDMI cables from Blue Jean cables....A LOT cheaper than the Monster cables.......

I second Monoprice. Great stuff.
I also like Pacific Custom Cables. Ordered some stuff from them a time or two.

Any advantage to the more expensive "higher quality" Monoprice cables (HDMI or component) for short runs (6 feet or less)?
