Hi all - I've searched around and found a few lines here and there about this, but I thought I'd start a thread devoted to getting the most out of a 9uk and the SA 8300HD (with dvr).
I just got my 9uk yesterday, and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for getting the best picture out of the 8300HD and 9UK combination. Any help?

I'd recommend connecting it with HDMI, but if you're stuck with Component that'll still look good too. Set the SA8300HD's Output Format to 480i and 1080i - these look considerably better (crisper and more detailed) on my Panny than 480p and 720p (which i've disabled).
Who is your cable company, and which software does your 8300 use?

Why not set to pass-thru Randy? The SA 8300 has that ability.

How do you set it to pass-thru? I'm not finding that as an option.

Why not set to pass-thru Randy? The SA 8300 has that ability.He won't have a "Pass-Through" option if his 8300HD is running Passport Echo software so i defaulted to the generic "480i" recommendation. If he has SARA software, then he would find the "480i Passthrough" option in his menu which does basically the same thing that enabling 480i on Passport would do.
But soon, his TWC DVR will be stripped of whatever software it currently has and replaced by the horrible Navigator software that everybody hates so far :mad:

Yeah I've heard nothing good about Navigator. I've got TWC, but we're using motorola 6412 III's, will they get navigator as well? I already hate this box compared to the 8300 with SARA.
