Guys, I have a Sony DVP-CX995V 400 disc DVD player. It keeps freezing during playback, froze 4 times during "Casino Royale". Once it freezes, it takes a couple of minutes to jump a chapter ahead, or you have to turn it off. Other discs, like Cars, Black Dahlia, froze as well. Player is about 1 year old, but out of warranty.

Should I send it in for repair? Does Sony have decent repair or will it just come back and keep freezing? Repair is $133.

Also, they offer an exchange for factory refurbished (i.e. someone else's problematic player) for $265.

Your thoughts on how to proceed? Any ideas on what's wrong with it?
