Hey guys. Me and two of my friends have been trying to figure this out all day but we can get it to work. On the back of the Onkyo TX-SR 702 there is only one slot for a subwoofer out. On the Dayton SUB 120 there is an input for both left and right. Not sure what's going on or what cable I might need.

Anyone have any clue or can help at all? You might save my poor sub from getting thrown out the window.

Thanks a bunch!

Most receivers only have one LFE output. Just go from the receiver
out to your subwoofer in (either left or right input will do) and
you'll be set to go. I usually use a Y splitter at the sub so the
signal is going to both left and right inputs on the sub. The
Y splitter you can pick up at Radio Shack.....one female end for
the sub cable to plug in and two male ends to plug in to the left
and right inputs of your sub....vardo

According to my subwoofer manual it specifically says when using a single LFE output on the receiver you only need 1 wire going to the sub so the Y adapter really isnt necessary, it says to use the left or right input on the sub. (HSU VTF3 MK3 / Turbo).

Mathesar, I agree with that...but somewhere I read a Y adaptor boosts the bass
output slightly. I have been into audio for quite a few years, so I have all
kinds of adaptors/wire etc, etc.....so since I had about a half dozen spare
Y adaptors lying around, why not go ahead and use one........by the way, how
do you like your VTF3 MK3 with turbo?......great sub for the money, I'm bias
'cause I have one, and love it........vardo :)

Interesting, I may have to try some SPL tests with my meter (Y adapter vs. single wire).

The MK3 is awesome IMO ,by far the best sound sub ive owned, Cant complain :) My only problem is due to my small room I only have 1 corner available for the sub. Not sure if its the best location but it sounds good when sitting in the LP, however the rest of the room sounds pretty weak, even if i do SPL tests 3 feet in front of the woofer the bass level is greatly reduced, It was the same with my last 2 subs as well.
