You haven't said if you mean the US model or what region you are in. Assuming its the US, it is very difficult to make these Panasonics region free without hacking the firmware. Even if you could, these Panasonics can't do PAL-to-NTSC conversion. Bottom line: if you want region free and PAL-to-NTSC conversion the Pannys are not the best choice.
