I have seen that some of the newer DivX DVD players also have a fire wire port. Has anyone used this port?

I would like to know if I can download DivX files to an external firewire drive and then reconnect the drive to the player for playback?

Is this possible? It is my understanding that this can be done with the players that have a USB port.
