Howdy,I though I would post some progress pictures of my home theater.I've been seeing some great theaters on this site so figured I would give this forum a try.My theater is already started but I will go back to the start just to keep things in order. The challenge We faced was to turn our summer vacation cabin into a full time year round home for when I retire in three years. Things Like a hobby garage, familyroom,home office,and of course a deciated home theater. A big concern was most of the construction would be done when no one was up there. After talking to some construction companys we decide to go with a shell addition and finish to inside ourself. I really wanted to do the theater myself anyway. The addition was 720 square feet downstairs and of course 720 upstairs.The theater is to be around 13x18 with and 100 inch dig. screen.Here are some pictures of the very beginning last spring.

I'll post some more pictures. I have a year of catching up to do.The thing I tried to do was get the outside finished before the winter snow hit.The shell went pretty fast, by July it was pretty much complete.I was able to paint on weekends and vacation time. Painting sucks,but it had to be done

Nice. It's my long term dream to some day have a cabin up in the mountains, never considered a home theater there. I was more concerned with things like running water. You should add your location to your profile, I'm curious where it is. The pictures look like it could be the Colorado mountains.
