Every TV is slightly different (even within the same model) and every viewing room is different. After spending for professional calibration, I hope you're not going to mess up your settings based on what others post.

What kind of room are you in? Mine is in a basement and I have it set to(during movies):

40 Brightness
42 Contrast
0 Sharpness
Tint 50/50
Color: 45
warm2
dnie: off

When gaming my contrast and brightness is higher, and my dnie is on.

I was told high contrast was bad for the TV, less lifetime?

What mode is this ? Movie, Custom, Dynamic or standard ?
I ask because on some movies, the dark scenes are way too dark so i must have some calibration issues. Also, what I want to know is does the Bulb for DLP's begin to slowly lose brightness or does it simply one day burn out ?
I have the HL-S5087W btw which is the same model but 6" smaller. I do love this TV though and its contrast and brightness(on day scenes) is far better than my 42" LCD.
