Guys,

I know this isn't the media streaming forum, but... I've been tracking all the issues with network media streamers in the other forum and frankly, 70% of the issues reside with video quality playback (something DVD players like Denon and Oppo have mastered). The other 30% of issues relate to the GUI and Network Friendliness of streamers.

Does anyone know if any of the highly respected DVD player companies are ever likely to jump into the streaming arena? I think the recent and ongoing demise of CD's sales should be omnious to those building DVD players.. so I'm hoping they see media streaming in their future.

Thoughts, Ideas, Insights are all sought!

I've seen no rumors of such in the Oppo forums. You might mail them and ask: they probably would not give you a definite "yes", but they might give you a definite "no".
