About to move to a new house and have to move this big monster - Sony KDP-65XBR2 - rear projection TV. It weighs 326 pounds according to my owner manual!

Anyway, are there any special things I need to do to prepare this set for a move?

Thanks!
Jeff

I just moved with my 65 inch sony and hired a moving company to move it. But please don't waste your money. I had to take the tv apart to get it into my basement anyways. If your sony is built similar to mine you should be able to detach the screen part from the bottom projector part. You will have to remove about a million screws and disconnect some wires but it is not as hard as it seems.

Just helped a firend remove a similar Sony model.
We had taken it apart (all electronics removed to reduce weight) to get it into his 3rd story dwelling & weren't
about to attempt to guide it back down the very tight stairwell.

Guy he was giving the unit to hired a crane operator for $155.00 for 2 hours & away it went. Took the crane guy 15 minutes tops!!Have great pics if you care to email me for them.

His new slim line JVC 58" LCOS is bliss to move by comparison.
