Has anyone found any firmware updates for this player? i was mostly looking for a way to make it Region Free....I have found it is way better than the Oppo 981HD (much smoother picture in my opinion.)

There is an exsiting thread fir this unit here already. May want to re-post there.

However, from what I've gathered, there is no firmware updates for these as of yet. And there likely won't be. Not something Sony is into doing these days.
