My brother finally got Xbox live after a year of yelling at him. :D We started playing some campaign games. Like Crackdown and Gears of War. It is almost as fun as when he is here at the house. Even better, we are both on the same screen at the same time, no split screen.

My question is, what are some really good games that allow you to play through the campaign via xbox live? We would even be interested in doing original xbox games if it supported the campaign.

I didn't consider Rainbow six because its not the campaign, you simply go through the maps and there are no objectives, etc. We were looking more for real campaign play.

Any thoughts?

honestly the co-op on rainbow six isnt that bad, i mean it's not completely different, but yet it's not the same.

dont do much co-op play outside of rainbow and gears, but what about graw? chaos theory? double agent? might be something to look in to.

im probably not much help :P

Here's hoping that Halo 3 will support COOP via XBL throughout the entire campaign.

To answer your question, Gears is the only 360 game I know of that you can play the entire campaign coop via XBL. What about Perfect Dark Zero?

You're right about Vegas and I think the same is true for the Ghost Recon games; you can only play certain missions coop via Live.

If there are more, I would love to know as well.

I agree. It's fun. Also, so is GRAW and GRAW2 coop. Plus, you get achievements, if that is important to you. :)

In R6:V, I am pretty sure the campaign is just missing the cutscenes that tell you the objectives. Everything else is still there, but you could be lost if you haven't played the SP mode through.

In GRAW, you have totally seperate COOP "mini" missions.

besides GoW and RB6

crackdown (you get an achievement for 100% co-op)
marvel ultimate alliance

arcade has some too. TMNT. :)

i know those aren't shooters, but they're still good.

lego star wars also has nonsplit screen offline co-op.

Playing Rainbow Vegas in co op helped me get through the first act in mexico. Was a little surprised waking up with only the pistol:)

I love the terrorist hunt mode in the R6 series! I spent hours on end playing R6:3 terrorist mode..We would all just get together and mess around or actually play the game. R6 coop gets a nod from me because the online environment is fun. But outside of Lego Star Wars/GOW/Crackdown you wont find much depth in coop...Saints Row has it but is falls short...

Marvel is co-op campaign mode via xbox live? You sure?? LOVE that game. Totally addicted to it. If it is true then he has to pick a copy up, again (he sold his after he beat it). Oh that would be excellent.

RB:6 terrorist hunt on realistic and high enemy density is the most fun!

Yes marvel does.

RS:V Co-op campaign is the same, but the cut scenes were removed (for whoever was trying to confirm that). In addition RS:V has the Terroist Hunt co-o which is a blast.

We tried the campaign, its not just the cut scenes. For example, on one map near the end you are suppose to trigger a laptop and then you get the voice telling you what they found, etc. When you get to the laptop on co-op you can't interact with anything. There are no objectives, you just go through the map.

In addition, you can play the maps in any order, removing ones you don't want, moving them around, etc. That is not really co-op campaign. Campaign to me is you play just like the single player version in all respects (i.e. Gears of War and Crackdown).
