I just got a Samsung 4695D LCD and was wondering what dvd would do a decent job calibrating my display. I have an old Avia disc that I was given by a friend(that I used for my RPTV), but it only deals with CRT displays. What would be an inexpensive alternative to an ISF technician? My set looks decent to my eyes, but know that I am not getting the best picture possible. I have it on Dynamic, contrast 80, Warm 1, DNIE off, DNR off etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Greetings
AVIA is fine for your needs here.
Can do
contrast
Brightness
sharpness
color
tint
and image centering if possible.

So those basic things using this old Avia disc that was made for CRTs is fine to use with my LCD then? I will try it later and see how it goes. Thanks for replying.

Greetings
They still apply to the LCD ...
The only difference is the contrast ... look at a stepped grayscale sweep pattern ... increase contrast until you get discoloration in the whites or white crush ... then back off.
