I currently have my center speaker (Klipsch RF-3II) turned on it's side and on top of an aquarium stand (also turned on it's side) below the theater screen. It is quite ugly!! I am looking for some sort of stand that this speaker will fit on. My speaker is 38.5 inches tall (long), by 16.25 inches deep. I believe the weight is around 56 lbs.

I am not sure what my options are. The stand can be free standing on the floor or can be one where I can attach it to the drywall using some sort of drywall anchors. I am not sure what I am going to do. Have you guys seen anything that would work for me?

I use a Sound Anchors SDACC center channel stand. Not cheap, but it works great, and can hold most any center channel with ease.

I built mine.
About as simple as humanly possible.

I bought a piece of finished plywood (the expensive stuff) - $23 for a 4'x8' piece. I had Home Depot cut it to size for me.

Also bought two 2x4's - 8 feet long.

The stand I bought is for my center speaker, receiver, cable dvr, DVD player and hdmi switch. The finished dimensions are 8 feet long, 22 inches deep, so I had the plywood cut in two pieces, one 26 inches, and one 22 inches deep.

The 2x4s were already the right size.

about 10 wood screws and a coat of black paint and the stand serves its purpose well. The wall behind the screen is black and the carpet is dark burgundy so the stand completely disappears. It's really impossible to see it unless you're about 1 foot in front of it, and even then you really need to look hard to see it.

I'd recommend building your own cut to size for your speaker. HD or any hardware store should easily be able to cut the wood for you. They may make you buy the full board, but still only $23 bucks. They'll cut the 2x4s for you as well. I think those were about $2.50 per board.

You can get a quart of black paint for under $10 probably and use a $2 paint brush, or for something this small, a $4 can of black spray paint would work too.

I used 3/4" galv. steel pipe and made my own, painted then black, cost for three front stands...about $60.00
