Ok so I need to be pointed in the right direction in terms of getting the most out of my sub.

I placed my sub in the optimum place after following many threads and advice from various sources and thus far it is much better than where I had set it up initially. Someone stated I could further enhance my LFE with an equalizer.

Just would like to recap my steps as I go about this:

1 Get a program like REW.
2 Purchase a Mic like the Behringer ECM8000
3 Purchase a Mic amp? (need confirmation and more info)
4 Get results based off of REW program.
5 Purchase an EQ and make adjustments as necessary.

Is that correct? Or am I way off base.

You may want to get the least expensive Behringer FeedBack Destroyer. Some people have picked them up used for as little as $50. There are tons of directions for how to use the FB Destroyer.

Take Care

EQ'ing is great, but if there are some specific acoustic problems to be fixed, room treatment should be the first step and EQ after.
