My gf just got back from Europe, and she brought with her a few hd dvds, i wasnt aware that the case size was different, is this just uk or just these movies, or what. also what is going on with the imports from spain, lots of announcements awhile ago and nothing coming up, any spanish speaking members who could help us out on this.thanks for the help.

From what I know there are a few UK HD DVDs that have the thicker cases. Most should have the standard HD DVD case.

The Harry Potter case I got was the same size and the US hd-dvd cases. I haven't ordered any other imports.

UK The Pianist comes in the thicker case
Japanese Equilibrium comes in thicker case
Australian imports of Total Recall, Rambo I and II come in the thicker cases.

But this could be a moot point as you can buy the thin cases and swap 'em out (do a search for them on this forum for a thread posted a couple of weeks ago).

thanks a lot, to be honest i kinda like the thicker cases for the imports, makes me feel like i got something little different, like a special edition.

Japanese Equilibrium comes in thicker case


Japanese discs come in DVD-size keepcases.

I only have Universal DVDs which differ in size to the regular size case (like Babel).
