First we should all watch this if we have an HDTV, but the audio was suprisingly good! It comes through in Dolby Digital and I listened to it at my standard movie volume for DD at -10db. The surround sound was very cool and dialog was great.
But the real reason this is in the subwoofer forum is because of the bass effects. There are scenes from space where they show the earth and there is a cool low rumble that really adds SO MUCH to the effect of the screenshot. Also in the Oceans one that I DVRed and watched last night there were other scenes that really SHOOK the house, not superpowerful, but enough to just enhance the scene and add something special to it.
People just watching on standard TV speakers or with a HTIB just have no idea what they are missing!
Just though I'd give us another show to watch that is not only visually stunning and can show you some never before scene things about our planet, but also is a nice subwoofer treat for us :D
