As I was checking the dvd wars..... HD DVD has allot of good stats. The Matrix is a big HD title for mass adoption?

Some consider the Matrix the tipping point in DVD's adoption :)

Sitting at #16 right now. Will probably break into the top 10! Imagine if there was only 1 release!

Actually, the only thing keeping HDDVD down was its own lack of releases.

That's the plain and simple truth.

I agree. This is what The DVD Wars showed for a moment.

Matrix is powerful but it is receiving a little help from dancing penguins, mother earth and man's children: 5 titles in the top 60, two in the top 20. Not too shabby.

I think that The Matrix is simply one of those titles that just about everyone would want. Casino Royale is a similar title with wide appeal.

I'm surprised both Matrix Box sets aren't a bit lower. It would seem that they would split the HD DVD user based with X amount buying the Complete Trilogy and Y amount buying the Ultimate Edition. However it appears that both are acting as if there is no competeing Matrix box set.

as of right now the complete is at #15 and the Ulitmate is at #53. You have to wonder what he end placement would be if they were combined.

One easy way to find out is that if everyone who bought the ultimate set cancel their order and get the complete set.... and change it back week later....... I guess...we can all do this every week from changing orders in synchronized way to break #1 on the chart ... :)

The Matrix is a powerful title.... but we knew HD-DVD would see a rebound the week of 3/27 as Happy Feet and Children of Men are quality releases after a long drought.

There are also going to be alot of people...like me...who don't pre-order it...but will buy it when it is "in stock". :)

Is it not coming out on Blu-Ray? Not exactly exclusive is it?

So go ahead and pre-order it for Bluray...Oh wait, you can't yet..It's timed exclusive..

I agree. This is what The DVD Wars showed for a moment.I am impressed with how "The Matrix" is doing, but that graph was an error on the eproductwars.com site. The number shown for Blu-ray was much higher than their actual top 10 average at that time (which was closer to the current 170). The site looks like it is back to working and HD DVD has a little ways to go to pass Blu-ray for the top 10 average.

I bought the Matrix snapper case DVD before I owned a DVD player.

I just find it funny that a movie thats not set to release until may 22nd is ahead of Child of men. I mean thats REALLY impressive that something like that can happen to a pre release so fast.

Good work HD-DVD owners!

This sux!!!! I would really love to helpwith a pre-order of my own but my decision really comes down to Animatrix in HD. If it is...I go ultimate.. If it isn't...I go complete.

I thought I read around here that the Animatrix will not be in HD.

Just pre-order the complete trilogy, you can always change it to the Ultimate.
You have a whole two months.

I read the same thing. I will probably just keep my Standard Ultimate and just get the Trilogy...
