NFL says that instant replay will be permanent and that each stadium will be wired so that it will be in HD. No word yet on if they have to pay extra for the Superfan package to receive HD
instant replay story (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2814757)
League owners voted 30-2 to make the video replay system a permanent officiating tool. All but three stadiums will be equipped with high-definition equipment and will be recabled before the upcoming season, at a cost of as much as $300,000 per club. The stadiums being replaced in Irving, Texas, Indianapolis and East Rutherford, N.J., will not get the updates.

Those 2 teams always vote against replay. OT, Bill Bidwell, owner of Arizona, is one of the worst owners in professional sports by far.
How many want to bet that CBS STILL only broadcasts three HD games a week?

After watching the NCAA'S I would not be surprised as the HD quality is really suffering but I think they have committed to 4 this year with a possiblity of 5.

Does CBS use HD cameras for games where they won't be broadcasting in HD?
Will the officials not get HD for replays for those games?

No they do not use HD cameras when the game is not in HD, neither does FOX on the 7th game when they have 7 games in a week. Besides it would take a whole lot more production gear then cameras to get replay to officials.

Yes.

I thought it was 4 HD games in 2007, 5 HD games in 2008 and all in HD in 2009?
