View Full Version : Google Checkout $10 off $30 is back - not just for new customers...
DaBigKahuna 03-27-07, 09:37 PM Looks like there are new limitations such as you can use it for x2 purchases at each store. Attached below is a list of participating stores so far:
Ecost.com (http://www.ecost.com/ecost/eccamera/shop/showcaseb/default.asp?showcaseb=google)
BestPrices.com (http://www.bestprices.com/cgi-bin/vlink/customer_googlecheckout.html)
CDUniverse.com (http://www.cduniverse.com/promo/google.asp?style=music&cart=509788749)
Also, CDUniverse has the HD-DVD version of Serenity (http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7068138&style=movie) on sale for the mighty fine price of $13.35.
tlreddragon 03-27-07, 10:06 PM I'm tempted to re-buy Serenity just for that price...
any news if this works for international customers?
Meatpopsicle 03-27-07, 10:48 PM I can't get the $10 off to show up before I check out. I recently used the $10 off for new userst hough...
CallMeJean 03-27-07, 11:55 PM Thanks for the heads up. Picked up Serenity.
Meatpopsicle 03-28-07, 12:23 AM Thanks for the heads up. Picked up Serenity.
Did your $10 off say for new user or something else?
Because the new user $10 off has been going on since before Christmas.

It looks like on CD Universe it said you can do Google checkout twice and get $10 off.
Here's exactly what it says on my order:
'Google Checkout & CD Universe Bonus - Limit 2 per person on orders over $30 before shipping & tax. Bonus may not appear in store email.'
So, you don't have to be a new customer to use it. It should appear before you submit your order, so you can back out if its not showing up.
kevink109 03-28-07, 12:43 AM Thank you-
Serenity and a couple of Jazz CDs
MidnightWatcher 03-28-07, 01:32 AM Doesn't anybody ever ship to Canada? :(
Tim Glover 03-28-07, 02:07 AM Wow. Thanks man. Picked up Serenity. Just too good to pass up...
bitemymac 03-28-07, 02:45 AM Thanks for the tip... ordered Serenity and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road SACD ($23.69-cheaper than anywhere else online). Anyway, watch out on the shipping charge, it was $5 for me which still was cheaper overall with $10 google discount.
nightfly13 03-28-07, 09:22 AM Yeah which of these have free shipping? I have a few titles I've been waiting for a deal on to order (I pay tax with Amazon so it's not quite as nice an option for me). I was ready to go on some Combos w/ $10 off but $2.50 for Shipping brings it to mid-$20s again, not the deal I've been waiting for. Thrilled to see GC alive and well, though, if limited. GC enabled me to build 80% of my 35-title HD-DVD collection.
nightfly13 03-28-07, 09:32 AM After 10 minutes of fruitless clicking, I could not get bestprices.com to open no matter how many times I tried to refresh it (?), ecost seems to not carry HD-DVDs (only SD and BRD, again please correct me if I'm wrong but the 4 titles I searched came up blank, as did their DVD into page) and CDUniverse has shipping that takes combo HD-DVDs to around $26.50. Serenity was one of the first discs I bought :) I guess I'll double check for other sales... $2.50 to get 2 shipped wouldn't kill me... If you guys see great deals do let us know :)
Thanks for the post, serenity is a good deal. Other than that these deals aren't good, compare to amazon's prices and free shipping w/ 10% off and amazon price is about the same.
Nice deal! I just ordered Serenity from CDUniverse using google checkout.

Yep. Serenity was a good deal, but everything else is overpriced. I bought Serenity and Bullitt. Bullitt is overpriced by $2 and shipping ate up $4, so it was really just $4 off a $30 purchase, but that still means I got Serenity for cheap and paid about $16 for Bullitt.
Google Checkout is limited to the USA.
I wanted to order Serenity and Black Rain. S-H-I-T.
DaBigKahuna 03-28-07, 01:53 PM You guys are welcome...glad to help out.
I never did get in on the Amazon deal so no 10% off for me.
It is hit or miss on if it's a real value or not. Other e-tailers are supposed to get in on this so keep checking Buy.com and see if they participate and post here for others to take advantage of.
Panic 66 03-28-07, 02:10 PM Ordered Serenity & Cream Royal Albert Hall. Total with shipping was $29.59. Not too bad I guess.
stevenjw 03-28-07, 02:34 PM FYI.... Feast seems about the same as pre-discount Amazon. Looking for something else that I don't already own and want to buy to get over $30 for Google. Then I can compare the bottom line and take my Prime shipping into account. I already own Serenity....
Serenity is up to 15.65 now at cduniverse.
Kid Red 03-28-07, 04:24 PM Yea, $15.65 today. Bummer, I wonder what other prices we lost out on?
Kid Red 03-28-07, 04:25 PM The BRD version of Happy Feet is $5 cheaper. I'd almost rather buy that and watch it on my PS3. What the hell is up with that? Come on Toshiba, you must win the prices war on software also!
BlackRiderX 03-28-07, 05:04 PM O man... everytime I'm out they pull me back in.
Mike1117 03-28-07, 05:13 PM Also, CDUniverse has the HD-DVD version of Serenity (http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7068138&style=movie) on sale for the mighty fine price of $13.35.
Now it's showing as $15.65. Add shipping & its cheaper at Amazon for me.
