I just popped it in to check it out. Great A/V, but beggining in Chap 3 the pic & video goes into a stuttering slow-motion kind of deal. I have the latest firmware update and haven't seen this problem on any of my other 30-40 HD-DVDs. This isn't like the TrueHD issue where sometimes you get that skip, but backing up it will go through the same scene without issue. When I back this up I get the same result. Hmmmmm.

Nevermind. A quick off-on with the player solved the problem. Just another CPU bug I guess.

Uh oh. I was afraid of potential problems with my A1 and Children of Men, too. The Combo discs always pose a problem. The Departed had a spot that my player could never get past; it always froze and hard-locked the A1. I'll let you know if I run into the same thing when my disc arrives.

Ah. I posted before seeing your reply. That's good to hear.

Received a copy from my local Blockbuster today (South Pasadena). I was the first to rent it. It froze after 30 min or so into it and then gave me a can't read disc error. I pulled out the disc and saw a few small spots on it. I cleaned it and then it played threw without any problems....on an A2.

I had the same issue with my A1 and turn off/on everything was working fine.
