Yes, another Children of Men thread...I get horrible aliasing/jaggies when watching this at 720p...been using 2.0 firmware since it was on their server, and never had this problem with any other discs. 1080 is fine...can anyone else check theirs and see if they have the same problem? Maybe my HDA1 is on the fritz. I even checked another movie afterwards, and it was fine at 720p.

Duh, realized I should check my other HDA1, and it had the same issue.

Hum. I wonder if this is the same problem we saw on the Miami Vice HD DVD. I will check it out tonight.

Played the movie on 720P.and 1080 and had no problems whatsoever, though it did look much better on 1080 of course.

My HDA1 has the same problem. I have to set the player to 1080 then let the projector take it down to 720. I first noticed it with Miami Vice.

I absolutely was noticing some very strange effects at first on my XA1. Almost hard to describe. Like curved lines on a brick wall or the rims of the beer bottle and wine glass. And weird effect around the edge of the guys head. I switched it to 1080i and boom it was gone.
