Where do you place the meter? Obviously, closer to the projector will get you higher readings.....
Any thoughts?

TomHuffman 03-28-07, 09:45 AM If you have a light meter that reads lux, then place right at the screen facing the lens projecting a 100 IRE (full white) window. (lux/10.76) x sq. feet of the screen = lumens (lumens/sq. feet of the screen) x screen gain = Foot Lamberts anbjornk 03-28-07, 06:56 PM I have a GM I1 pro sensor.. Thanks, I1Pro - i believe is not a Light Meter...its a spectrometer anbjornk 03-29-07, 03:02 AM I1Pro - i believe is not a Light Meter...its a spectrometer That's correct... But can i not be used to measure light output? Bear5k 03-29-07, 10:32 AM That's correct... But can i not be used to measure light output? It can, though mine doesn't necessarily track my dedicated light meter for measuring light. Basically, use the Y measure as your measure for light output. Also, if you know your screen size in square meters, you can eliminate Tom's conversion (divide by 10.76) to square feet (lux = lumens per square meter). Bill olivier92 10-01-07, 04:35 PM Is there a rule of thumb for Lux. A minimal level? or moderate level? I am working on my projector placement (AE700) and currently at 300 lux. |
