This is a movie from Universal right? When I watched the movie last night it had a HD-DVD comercial in the begining. So why was it not released on HD-DVD? Seems this would of been another nice release for the HD-DVD camp. When I see the companies that are backing BD releasing so many new movies on BD it bugs me that the HD-DVD side can't do the same thing. :(

Poor reviews, terrible box office = small dvd sales. Universal probably thought it wasn't worth pressing an HD version if it wasn't going to sell very well. If you enjoyed the movie, I'm happy for you - but I hated it :(

Unless you are Robin Williams, why would someone want to buy that movie?

I love Williams but this movie was awful.

Funny movie. Let's Go to Prison was supposed to be a Combo (ad for it on Man of the Year), but I guess they cancelled.

I figured that if HD-DVD wanted to win this war thin they would start buy putting out movies. They don't all have to be block busters. I rent all my movies but I bought a HD-DVD player to watch HD movies. I thought if you wanted to win the war you would put the material out there so the public could choose. Right now it seems BD is the only ones with enough brains to be able to figure this one out.

Universal probably doesn't want to waste their time with an hd dvd movie that will sell 3 copies. They have bigger fish to fry....

But they plan on releasing Cat In The Hat. :rolleyes: That I am sure will sell BILLIONS of copies. I thought the movie was ok (Man Of The Year), but with the so few new releases coming out on HD-DVD, I thought this should have of been one of them.

I guarantee you that Cat in the Hat will sell WAY (at least thousands) more copies than Man of the Year will whenever it is released on hd dvd. 'Cat' will sell copies just because it is geared toward kids...and parents will buy it for them. ;)

While I have little interest in Man of the Year, I am a big Will Arnet fan (Arrested Development) and was disappointed that I had to settle for the standard definition release of Let's Goto Prison.

The way I see it I think that all new releases that are from companies that support HD-DVD should put out it's new releases on HD-DVD. I bought my A1 to watch HD not SD.
