Ok guys i was just playing around with my x box 360 because i was going to get the hd dvd add on and i came across something i switched my x box to 480i and it went to a black and white picture so then i switched the hd component cable and it give me two black and white pictures but i can tell the PQ looks amazing.

So a guy i was talking to told me a lil bit about the 360 hd dvd add on and he was saying that if i switch the settings to 480i i might be albe to use it I had to do something else also but i cant remember so is there anyway to view a 480i on a sd tv i know its a stupid question but im new to all this like i said the PQ looks amazing but yea so does anyone know thanks.

All SD tvs should be able to accept 480i. Could you repeat the question?

(1) What connection method?

(2) Does the xbox produce 480i over that connection? Do you have to do some sort of setup to switch that on?

(3) Does your TV have some sort of setup to switch to that input? Do you have to turn off progressive scan mode?

(4) What does "two black and white pictures" mean? Is your screen divided in half? Horizontally or vertically?
