I am ready and anxious to buy my first DVD recorder. I have a new HD tv, and want the ability to tape programs. I am looking for help on good brands to purchase, and what features to look for (those that are musts and those that are nice but not totally necessary). Also looking for help on the options for synchronizing the timing with the satellite box, if that is necessary. (timed recordings when not at home). Some research I ran mentioned an IR blaster, but I dont see many recorders with that feature. THANKS for helping sift the details. :confused:
