Well, I've been playing this for about a week now and got my custom player ranked down to 88. I have one question, does anyone know how high the skill levels are for this game? For example Footwork, my player is currently between 18-19 for the three categories. Also Serving, for the two categories he is between 16-17...I think.
Thanks for the responses guys !

Nevermind ...got the answer ...it's 25-30 for the skill level to max out---it will depend on the skill category. I think Serving is maxed to 25 and some others are maxed out to 30. Hope this helps anyone that is looking.
Thanks for the info. I think I'm at level 11 in only one category, and lower in all the rest. I guess I still got a long way to go. At least my player will keep improving...
You're ranked 88 after a week? Good for you. I finally broke the 200 barrier, myself. It was strange though - I was "stuck" at rank 207 for a while. I played (and won) four tournaments in a row while my rank just sat at 207, until it finally started advancing again when I played in a mixed doubles tourney. Did that ever happen to you, where your rank didn't get any lower even though you were winning matches?
Anyway, thanks for the tip. 25-30 - looks like I've got a lot more Pin Crusher to play... :)

G-Bull,
Yes it did happen a few times-- I won matches but never ranked down ---err up. I think this was because I entered a tournament that I had previously won. Yeah, 88 sounds good but it gets real tough.
After I broke 100, I was having trouble volleying and getting to the net with lob shots, plus the footwork alone. I think focusing on your footwork and volley will get you faster to the top. What I did in my first year was pretty much train in the mini games and tennis academy -- it helped me get from 300 to 150 in a few days, never lost a set between the transition. I was thinking at first this game was really easy, but then again... I had my custom player with some pretty high skills entering the matches.
Now the game is getting a bit more difficult, the A.I. is a lot quicker and pretty much anticipates my move.

it actually depends on what classification you are. if you're a big server, you can go higher in the service skills. powerful strokes characters can go higher in groundstroke skills, and so on.
