Hey guys. I got the AVIA disk but no blue filter. Where can I go locally to put up a substitute?

Thanks!

I don't know about locally. You can order the filters for a few dollars from the Ovation website, or also from DVE's website. You may prefer the DVE filters because they come mounted in a handy cardboard frame, whereas to my knowledge the avia filters still come loose.

If you really wanted to find local filter materials you'd have to dig up the threads in the archives that cite the filter materials you want and find a local cinema tech type supplier or something that would have filter material, etc. IT's more trouble than it's worth IMO and probably would be much more expensive.

You can get filters from the DVE site: here. (http://www.videoessentials.com/extra_filters.php)
They are $3.00.
You can get the blue THX glasses: here. (http://www.co-store.com/thx)
They are $1.00.

I would go for the DVE kind, since it has all three colors.

The "Here" isn't linked. Can you try again? Thanks.

The DVE filter link is: http://www.videoessentials.com/extra_filters.php.

The THX glasses link is: http://www.co-store.com/thx.

Note: The Forum web links (URLs) appear to be broken at this time. You will have to copy the full link into your Internet Browser to get there.

Oops . That THX link doesn't work right. You will have to go to - http://www.thx.com/home/dvd/blueGlasses.html - and click on the "THX Online Store" link in the last text line.
