I know a lot of people here hate combos, and I do too, but I did a search on Amazon and a few of them seem to have dropped in price(which is my primary annoyance with them, anyways). I did a search on AVS and couldn't find a thread about it, so hopefully this will come in handy for some of you folks.

Army of Darkness (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GIXIBY)
Brokeback Mountain (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K7VHSM)
Dazed and Confused (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GFLEHM)
Fast Times at Ridgemont High (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GIXIBO)
Land of the Dead (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GFLEGI)

If I see any others in the next few days, I'll throw them up too.

Are you sure that those dropped? Those catalog combo discs have always been available at this price.

I'm not quite sure when they dropped, but they're all still priced at around $26-$28 on buy.com. I could swear I looked for Army of Darkness a few weeks back and it was $28 at Amazon, but hey, it's possible I'm wrong!

definitely a price drop. Months ago land of the Dead used to be $27.95.

Brokeback Mtn's link is bad. You've doubled up on AoD.

These prices are the same as they have always been. Not all combo are 27.95

I'm pretty sure those are the same prices I paid when they came out.

Hmm, if you ordered them at Amazon, could you do me a favour and check your amazon.com order history? It should have the prices paid. So far I'm sure Land of the Dead was higher, and I'm PRETTY sure that Army of Darkness was, but if the rest were $24 initially, I'll remove them from the post.

I too thought they were $27.95

I've checked my Amazon records and Army of Darkness (10-9-06) and Land of the Dead (9-27-06) were both 23.95 when I ordered them.

I also checked my previous Amazon orders between July and November 2006 and the four of those titles that I bought (Land of the Dead was the one I passed on) were all $23.95. Which I think is still a decent price for them especially with another 10% off.

Well huh, I'm not sure how I got confused about it then(as well as other people in the thread apparently!).

In that case, just ignore this thread, whoops.

I just checked my saved item (in my shopping cart). Scorpion King and Land of the Dead are listed $27.95 (again, this is in my saved-item in the shopping cart, which I saved from eons ago). Thanks for pointing me out that the price is now $23.95 I can delete my order and re-order them.

Thanks for the link, Bandit, I was on the fence about Army of Darkness - but I love this movie (still have it on VHS  :p) getting it now though, can't wait. =)

Shop smart, that's SMart. :)

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Seriously though, thanks. Maybe I'll pick up AoD on the 15th.

I couldn't help notice the addresses for all these preorder links you're listing have a different address on them than the same titles have when I go directly to Amazon and look them up. You wouldn't happen to be generating income off of us when we purchase an Amazon item through your conveniently supplied links would you??? If so, this is pretty F-ing ****** and I'd think you shound get banned for this and all the other $$$ threads you've done just like this one...

It seems my posts and the threads I've been posting in have been disappearing a lot today... My guess is this one will as well. ;)

If I look up these HD-DVD titles on Amazon, I get the same links as the ones posted (once you remove user/session info after the item id). The original posts have been cleaned up to remove the session stuff (it was originally included), and I see no hidden "click-through" codes in the copies of those original links that linger in quoting posts.

So your accusation seems somewhat harsh/provocative. Perhaps you should post what link you get when you do a search, so others may compare?

On to the original topic: glad to see some price reductions. Hopefully this is a trend throughout the summer, where we see prices dropping to meet the SD-DVD street prices, especially for day-and-date.

If you notice the time stamp, it was edited today. So his argument was valid til the edit. Thanks OP for the cleanup.
