so i have an acer xd1150 projector, the available inputs are composite, svideo, and VGA. according to the manual there is a vga to component adapter i need to hook up component to it
couple questions on this:
1) where can i get it? it wasnt included in the package
2)i still want to be able to hook up my pc to the projector, so do i need an adapter to change vga from the pc to component or would it be better just to get a vga switcher?

next question, according to the specs on the projector it can scale 720p and 1080i, however when i change the resolution on my pc to 720p it really screws with the color. I dont have any other HD sources currently in the house to test with, but is this normal?

You can buy up to 50 foot "VGA->component breakout" cable for very reasonable price at this site.

The PC can hook to the same VGA port using a manual VGA switcher. Your PJ should recognize the component source from your DVD player or VGA from your PC if you set your PJ's VGA port to "auto" recognition.

Don't forget you'll need VGA male->VGA male cable X 2 to connect your PC to switcher and then switcher to PJ (also available at this site--combine orders to minimize shipping charge).
