I have a pyramid pa800x amp that is an 400w x 2 channels...My question is whether i could use it for something with my 7.1 HT surround set up or should i just find something else to use it for. I was thinking of giving it to my father in law unless it would be useful for my HT setup...any thoughts?

It's a power amp so, depending on what your other gear is, it may be possible to connect it to your system.

My HT is an onkyo 504 receiver...I was just wondering if i should try to hook this amp up to the receiver or just keep the HT how it is and give the receiver to my father in law. The Surround sound is fine as is, but i didnt know if the amp would or even could help out.
