And what is so horrible about your power that you think you need these things? If you feel you need one so bad I would be careful of the PSA PPP look on the website and see all the issues they have had with them.

Its in the PSA forums on the PSA website and also on the Audioasylum PSA forum. LAst count I had 18 people had some pretty big issues and the "engineers" at PSA couldnt find the solutions.

Third try...
What is the problem with your "video quality"? Why does it need improvement?

the picture quality is good using the sony factory settings and read somewhere
that adjusting the service menu can be better or getting one of those isf guys to
tune it up gray scale to 6500k. i thought by using a power conditioner to clean
the noise will have a sharper picture ( black will be blacker and white will be whiter).
cheers

It won't...there's a power supply in between the AC and DC parts.

Calibrate is good, falling for the BS that the power conditioner sells is a waste. Have it calibrated, have your room treated and you will be happier and save money.

The guys are right. Spending money to have a set calibrated can bring a big difference. It really depends on how well it was setup prior to delivery. In any event, it is a far better use of funds than using a line conditioner. Sony makes TV sets that are sold over the entire world. Their engineers have designed the internal power supplies with full knowledge of the potential line conditions in the various countries. Here is a link to the ISF site where you can search for ISF techs in your area. I would recommend talking to a few of them. Make sure they are familiar with your set or similar sets and understand completely what they will do and what they will charge. If you have questions, feel free to post them here.

I read Audioasylum's many complaints. The PPP is a nightmare.

Seanyuki,

ISF is unquestionably a good idea, but all the people telling you that a power conditioner will do no good are wrong. Try a good one (not Monster or Panamax) and see for yourself.

1. ISF calibration

2. 'Brand X' power conditioner (w/ 30 day return policy) ;)
