I just wanted to pass a note on my experience with getting my plasma calibrated. I had Michael Chen also known as michaeltlv on this forum calibrate my plasma. After driving 5 hours to get too me he still spent 6 hours calibrating the display. It was a lot of work since changing some settings required going back and changing settings already worked on.This project took patience and discipline to get it right. I could see were a calibrator could just stop and consider the settings good enough but not in this case. When I thought it was as good as it could be Michael would go back and tweak again. Also he explained in detail what he was doing so we could follow the corrections.
This level of calibration is not possible without the proper equipment and knowledge.I had set this plasma with avia and was was still way off. I wanted to post this because if your not getting this level of service from your calibrator i dont think your getting the results you deserve.

Agree 200%. He came last October to do my 42"plasma and wasn't in any hurry, either. He is a perfectionist and that shows in his quality of work AND his unwavering desire to educate the client on the WHYS of something being done.

He is coming back out to see me (in Ottawa, Ont.) in the June timeframe to calibrate my new sound system. And I can hardly wait!

I live north of seattle and would be interested in having Micheal do my display. Can you guys point me in the right direction to getting this done. I'm new here, so I appoligize up front if I've taken the wrong route on this.
Thanks,
Shane

I would also have to put in a positive plug for Michael as well.

He came out to my place in Winnipeg last year and calibrated a very poor RPTV. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future or to recommend him to others.

He just did my 50" fujitsu plasma on Sat and he exceeded my expectaions. I highley recomend getting your display calibrated, and if you can get Michael to come to your area I highly recomend him as well.

I have a wife who loves watching movies which helped. Calibrating it really made it shine.

I had the pleasure to meet Michael last week as he drove home to caliber my Elite Pro150fd while on his East coast tour in Canada. I cant thank him enough for all the work. He spent almost 6 hours to my home and gave me a course explaining the why and the how of everything he was doing. Very interesting and professional. If you ever needs a PRO he is the one to get!:D

I felt my money was very well spent and will recommend him to any friends looking for a perfect job!:)

Could someone please recommend to me who does calibration, I mean what kind of technician to look for in the phone book? I'm afraid I am not in the areas for these mentioned at Lion's. Thanks, Sanr
