I'm in a predicament. Seems that I dont have enuff optical inputs on my reciever to run all the things I want. Here's my components:

Pioneer VSX -1014
Panny 42PX60U Plasma
Xbox
Xbox 360
Motorola DCT6412 III

I currently am running HDMI from the Moto to the TV and digital audio RCA from Moto to 1014. 360 component vid to the TV. And 360 optical to the 1014. Xbox component vid to TV and optical audio to 1014. Finally, From the TV to reciever, there is an optical audio that i want to run but no room for it, unless i use the front optical on the 1014, which i'd rather not do. Is there any other convenient hookup options? I've never done video switching so i'm not sure on how to set that up. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Use digital coaxial connections for one of the sources. It's the exact same signal, just transported differently.

I would like to, but the only output they have is optical.

You could use a manual switch like this:

Or, a remote-control switch like this:

Also, an optical to coax converter like this would work if you have a coax input available:
