Alright this has gotten me thinking since buying a new Pioneer Elite Pro-1140HD Plasma. Should I ISF calibrate or not? I came from a Elite Pro-630HD RPTV that was calibrated and every since I got a my first RPTV I've always had them calibrated since 1996-97.
Well my new plasma has some very nice calibration inputs (DAY & NIGHT) on them that I'd like to see what it would look like. I've be rather happy with the past calibration and the same guy has been doing mine since I even knew about ISF calibration. Like I said I've been very happy with the results in the past but even back then when I had it done I didn't have a lot of money but I wanted that perfect picture but still after having it calibrated something in the back of my head sometimes said that if I just left it alone (and the picture was quite perfect), I could have saved $700 bucks.
Anyways since turning on my new plasma I've been very, very happy with the picture as it is. I've only had the plasma for 5 days now and I've been using "D-Nice's" recommended break in settings. Even with using his settings and it still looks incredible! I can't imagine what it would look like calibrated and broken in.
So I'm looking for opinions and recommendations on what avenue I should take.
