Please bare with me this is my 1st post.
I have been looking in to buying a QAM w/ ATSC receiver but before i got out and spend. I live in turlock, Ca and my cable provider is charter and I have analog cable. Does anyone know of if charter provides any channels that are on unencrypted that can be picked up with a QAM. I think this was kinda pointless but i hoping to get a complete oblivious rep at charter, i asked them this question and the rep said they scramble all channels and that i have to have there box.

I didnt think anyone in my area was on here. what about in other areas close by? is anyone have luck pulling HD channels off analog cable with charter?
