No higher rez audio - just regular Dolby Digital.

Has anyone else refused to buy because of this?

no. Most people like myself only have a receiver that supports DD.

I am much more likely in the future to hesitate about Warner titles because of the low bitrate mediocre PQ.

No, i you are not alone at all.
I would think most people that care about sound are holding off for a re-release or other version from different region. But i guess it depends on the movie.
I know for sure im not getting any matrix if they try and serve us this bs low rate DD.
But WB has given us some lossless tracks also lateley so maybe there is hope after all.

Not completely refuse, but it has reduced the number of Warner movies I would have otherwise got. Most recent movie being Happy Feet, I refuse to support Warner when they are intentionally shortchanging Blu-Ray owners. Atleast Paramount doesnt have lossless tracks on either format. Warner has TrueHD tracks ready and yet they still dont use it.

But I dont completely refuse to buy their movies because there is no way i'll be able to hold off on movies like 300 or Blood Diamond. Plus whenever they get around to releasing Batman Begins and V for Vendetta.

I will only be purchasing Warner movies with PCM or TrueHD, and the only one announced that fits that bill in their release schedule is Letters From Iwo Jima.

But i guess it depends on the movie.

This is how I feel.

I don't think you are the only one...but here is a very long 6 page thread on the same topic

Unforgiven is the only Warner title for me. They need to get with the program: PCM or Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio. Would prefer they do video at BD limits, not HD DVD limits.

But I’m not putting any money on them. The last Warner DVD that I purchased still had the paper snapper case.
