For people interested in BD-Java and Cable Java development, JavaONE this year will have an entire day session on Blu-ray and Cable development:

I'll most likely be there as well.

Seems to be interesting...

too bad it's not near LA, as I'd like to visit my old haunts in that city while over there....

I just went to a Spring seminar by the local Java SIG over at the Google.com offices in NYC, and having several hundred fellow developers around is pretty exciting - JavaOne will probably have 15,000-20,000 developers all crammed into the area...you'll be able to smell GEEK sweat all the way to LA :D

Looks like there are other sessions as well on Blu-ray, not sure whether these are included in the one-day thing...

Sounds like BD-J is really going to take off with BD titles late this year or early next year. Cool.

asj, if you get to work on a BD-J title, let us know which one after it's been released of course. Also it's always good to get feedback as to what content consumers want on BD-J after you've put in what you'd want to see in a BD-J app.

If only I'm more geeky, I'd go. :D
